Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all of our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world, and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land almost can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy. Peace for Israel means security and that security must be a reality.

Israel Matters (IM) is a 501 c3 organization based in northern California. Our group includes dozens of members in the United States, Israel, and other countries. We are bound together by an abiding love of Israel and hold monthly zoom and in-person meetings. Help Israel’s First Responders

Protect Israelis From Missile Attacks

34,854 missiles and mortars have been fired out of Gaza at central and southern Israel since 2012–14,947 since October 7 2023. Another 22,004 missiles were fired out of Lebanon–and more missiles were fired from Iran and Yemen. The young and old are the most vulnerable in these attacks. Click here to help them.

Help IDF Soldiers

Without the IDF there would be no Israel. More than 900 active duty and reservist soldiers have fallen since October 7, and another 22,000 have been wounded–nearly 50% of the wounded have PTSD. Click to help our soldiers both with their physical and mental rehabilitation.

Protect the Environment

Israel’s fragile environment from the top of Mt. Hermon and the Golan Heights in the north to the Negev Desert and Eilat in the south is always at risk from such events as arson attacks and extreme weather. Click here to help.

There are more than 200 Jewish communities now in Area C of Judea and Samaria. They need help with security, infrastructure improvement, and new educational facilities for the growing population of more than 500,000 there. Click here to help.

IM Mission Statement

Our mission is:

To raise awareness about Israel through educational programs and cultural activities, and our websites.

To provide timely information about events taking place in Israel and information about how Israel can be supported.

To provide information about Israel’s numerous contributions to the arts and sciences in such fields as alternative energy, medicine, literature, agriculture, music, and technology.

To undertake and encourage others to join us in supporting organizations that support Israelis.

To proactively support the security and well-being of Israel as a Jewish nation and actively oppose efforts to delegitimize Israel.

To expose anti-Semitism and bring to light the double standards that are uniquely employed against Israel as it tries to defend its citizens.

IM Position Statement

1. Israel is one of the most vibrant democracies in the world. Israelis should be able to choose their own government without interference from outside organizations and governments.
2. Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel.
3. Judea and Samaria have been the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people for more than 3,300 years. The Jewish communities of Area C are an integral part of sovereign Israel.
4. While we hope and pray for peace, we do not believe that Israel should return to the 1949 Armistice LInes (also known as the June 4, 1967 lines).
5. The Golan Heights are an integral part of Israel.
6. Jews, Christians, and Muslims should have equal access to the Har HaBeit (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem.
7. Israel must be able to defend itself. We support the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces.
